The new season of Radio GAMeC, Pedagogy of Hope, curated by Lorenzo Giusti and Lara Facco, begins in May 2026 in Venice as a Collateral Event of the Biennale Arte. For the opening week, the project broadcasts from the spaces of Radio Vanessa, the historic independent radio station active in the historic center, reactivating the dimension of the radio as a physical place of encounter and cultural production. In dialogue with the theme of the Biennale, In Minor Keys, and with the annual programming of the museum inspired by the thought of Paulo Freire, the format is configured as a research platform that investigates education as a practice of freedom and transformation, questioning the forms of knowledge necessary to understand and act upon the present. Numerous hosts take turns at the microphone, contributing to building a choral and plural device. The project values decentralized perspectives and non-hegemonic forms of knowledge, developing a schedule in the making that intertwines artistic practices, research, and critical reflection.
